Task 5 Evaluation

Digital media files can be big in size. This can be more simple and useful to compress the images for ease of storage or delivery. However, compression can save space or assist delivery, it can delay the opening of the first file, since it needs to be decompressed when accessed.
Forms of compression will also compromise the 'quality' of the files content.

To create the santa hat on my front cover, i resized and rotated the santa hat to fit on her head.
Her hair was poking out on the sides, so i had to warp the image to cover the hair.

                                                                    Vector images
To add my title to my magazine it was from dafonts but when i pasted the title to my page i had to raster the image first so that the image when adding colour wouldn't lose quality.

In this image i added a low opacity box behind my text.
I changed the shape of the colour and the size.
Ended up going with the purple rectangle since it goes with the colour theme of my magazine homepage.

Also similar to my other text box, i used a circle on with an opaque background to make a more bolder statement, with white text over the background to make it stand out clear.
Also chose the circle since the cycle box is only used this once on my front cover which can indicate that its a serious competition and a limited time offer.

For my contents page, i uploaded my own images onto a blank 'photograph' print out, and resized the photo's to fit.
i also added black lines around the board of the image to make the image look more of a 3D effect as if it was a photograph stuck on the page.

For my Contents page, i used box's of different colours and kept them all the same size.
I did use light colours to keep with the theme of my magazine which is more of a pastel colour based theme.
Also the text i used seems to stand out over the writing and looks nice over the coloured boxes.

My text for my second page is in a hand-written style and after a play around the the scale an size of the text i rotated the text to fit on screen which i think fits nicely and is more eye catching.

Also on my first page, i used images of food which are relevant to my recipe and gave them a nice effect of lowering the capacity.
Although i only lowered the capacity for a nice effect, but it also makes all the colours clash well together on screen. And brings out the title 'Method' out a lot more.
